The new Manthey Kit for the 992.2 model 911 GT3 amps up an already insane performer.

No one has ever accused a Porsche 911 GT3 of being slow, especially not the current 992.2-gen models. But if you wanted to pull out even more performance out of your 911 GT3, there’s a new Manthey Kit available. Sold as an accessory package via Porsche, you can buy it, have it installed, and still hang on to your factory warranty. Win-win!

Standout features of the Manthey package include improvements to the car’s aerodynamics and updated suspension components designed to further enhance the GT3’s already astounding handling and mechanical grip.

The redesigned front lip now sticks out further by nearly a half inch, and the rear wing has been widened and fitted with a Gurney flap. Longer fins have been fitted to the rear diffuser for even more downforce. Drag is further reduced through the addition of carbon fiber aerodiscs for the rear wheels, which also look striking. Underneath, the kit adds turning vanes that are about 59 inches longer than the stock, 39-inch ones. To make them fit, the car will wear a cover over the luggage compartment floor so the underbody is completely smooth.

In its most relaxed setting, the Manthey GT3 will generate 782 pounds of downforce. You’d use the most extreme configuration on the track, and there it’ll produce 1,190 pounds of downforce. Porsche said this was all done without increasing drag at all.

Manthey and Porsche also worked together to develop a four-way adjustable coilover suspension setup that can (and should) be used on track. The suspension struts themselves are adjustable, so you won’t need tools to change their rebound and compression. Plus, the front axle’s spring rates have been increased by 10 percent over the Manthey Kit offered on the 992.1 GT3 in order to handle this new kit’s increased downforce.

Extra Manthey goodies include branded illuminated lettering on carbon fiber door sill trims, door lettering, and tow straps for the front and rear bumpers.

When equipped with the new Manthey Kit and unleashed on the Nürburgring, the 992.2 GT3 set a lap time of 6:52.981 minutes, which Porsche points out is 2.76 seconds faster than the 992.1 GT3 with Manthey Kit. (Manthey handles Porsche’s FIA World Endurance Championship racing operations, hence the extremism of the kit.)

No official pricing was announced at this time, but we’ll learn more as the kit becomes available in the United States this coming spring.
